qzx getGpuInfo
What it does
Inspects installed GPUs and reports normalized vendor, driver, memory, and available utilization details
Command maturity: Alpha
Available for real use and feedback while its interface and behavior can still evolve. This is the current development-checkout assessment. Every future immutable release tag preserves the exact assessment shipped by that version. Available in PyPI 0.2.2.0.6a11. This page documents the 0.2.2.0.6a11 alpha development checkout.
Safety and effects
Read-only under the current classification
No documented dry-run parameter
May invoke native programs
No documented network use
No inherent elevation requirement
Uses nvidia-smi plus one platform inventory provider when available. Every subprocess uses an argument array without a shell, a bounded timeout, and structured warnings; provider errors never print into JSON stdout.
This safety classification was reviewed by OpenAI Codex (authorized project audit) against implementation digest sha256:66f60cf21a5ea9c4013337fcfea7568234b49caa2032946f3d2776edfbb2cc68 on 2026-07-30.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| detailed | bool | No | false | Request extended driver, memory, temperature, and utilization fields when the platform exposes them |
Input examples
qzx getGpuInfoList detected GPUs with normalized vendor names
qzx getGpuInfo --detailedInclude available driver, memory, temperature, and utilization fields
For the complete structured payload, add --json: qzx getGpuInfo [detailed] --json
Representative output example
This illustrative JSON is derived from the current implementation-backed result contract. It shows what the command can return without claiming a recorded execution; values vary with inputs, host, permissions, and optional tools.
Example command: qzx getGpuInfo --json

}Errors and limits
The public contract requires success=false and a descriptive message on failure. This catalog does not yet declare a command-specific error taxonomy; inspect the result and do not invent error codes.
QZX is alpha software. Optional dependencies, permissions, and host capabilities can change the result.
Evidence workflow: requires the supported operating-system matrix.
